The final characteristic of the Augusta economy is manufacturing. Augusta is home to Club Car and Textron, the two largest golf car manufacturers in the world. In addition, there is Kimberly-Clark, John Deere, Rolls-Royce, Bridgestones, and dozens more manufacturing companies all within commuting distance. This is why we love to buy houses in Augusta since there is a high demand for rental homes for the workers of these companies.
3. Laid-back environment
Although Augusta is the second-largest city in GA, we do not feel the “big-city” atmosphere here at all. The city is decently spread out so that there is virtually no traffic, even during peak hours. It has a very laid-back environment and people tend to not be in a hurry at all. Most of the people we talk to, like sellers, lenders, and contractors, are very easy-going and down-to-earth. For the most part, it has been a smooth and stress-free experience to buy houses in Augusta.
